Why this session exists
You can describe what is wrong perfectly and still carry it. Fifty minutes of articulate explaining, in a room where nobody touches you, and you leave with better words and the same weight.
That is not a failure of therapy. It is that some of what you are holding was never stored as language in the first place. It is in the fascia. In the jaw. In the way your ribs have not fully expanded in a year.
This session works there.
What it involves
Work with the body’s electromagnetic field, combined with hands on work through the fascia and guided somatic release movement. It is the most active of my sessions. You are not lying still for all of it.
It is also the longest and the most intensive, which is why it runs to seventy five minutes rather than sixty.
Is this the right session for you
- Yes, if you have done the talking and it has not moved. If you know the story by heart and your body has not caught up.
- Yes, if you hold tension somewhere specific and constant, and massage helps it for two days.
- Yes, if a loss, a diagnosis or a hard year has settled somewhere in you and stayed.
- Probably not first, if you have never done bodywork of any kind. Reiki is a gentler introduction, and there is no rush.
- Not instead of, if you are under the care of a psychologist or counsellor. This sits alongside that work, never in place of it.
